Raumwelten Public will present 2020 in the context of Raumwelten – Platform for Scenography, Architecture and Media again a wide-ranging programme for the interested public to make scenography and spatial communication experienceable. From the popular Family Day with workshops for children and young people, the free audio-visual Ambient Lab Festival to the Raumwelten Cinema. In the Live-Stream, via Zoom or by Video on Demand – we bring Raumwelten to your home this November.

Raumwelten Family Day

Raumwelten Family Day is again the time to join in and try things out. In addition to architecture workshops for pre-school children, there will also be animation workshops for primary school children and a digital workshop for teenagers. All workshops will be held live online via Zoom (please find detailed information on workshop times and subscription below in the event carousel). In the afternoon we will show the Best of Tricks for Kids – the best animated short films for children of this year’s Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) in the Live-Stream (available in Germany only).

Raumwelten Exhibitions

usomo – unique sonic moments is an intensive 360° 3D sound experience. Music, speech, and sounds are carried into the room, surround the visitors, and create the exciting feeling of being completely immersed in the sound.. Due to current current corona guidelines of the German government we are not able to offer you the live experience this year, but the usomo developers will presents their unique technology in different lectures during the Raumwelten conference within the formats Raumwelten Digital and ABC of Scenography (accessible with the Raumwelten ONLINE-Ticket). The digital exhibition on our 3D Multiuser Platform accompanying the International Building Exhibition 2027 StadtRegion Stuttgart (IBA’27) has the focus on the key question “What will our lives, homes and work be like in the future”? Selected projects are on display in our digital Raumwelten Pavillon “Lichtwolke” accessible with the Raumwelten ONLINE-Ticket. The topics and projects  IBA’27 can be found at iba27.de

Ambient Lab Festival

Friday, November 20, 2020 // from 6:30 pm streamed live from Karlskaserne Art Center, Ludwigsburg

The Ambient Lab Festival offers an extraordinary evening combining live sets of electronic music and visual art by creative duo Frischvergiftung. Ambient music not only merges with the surroundings but creates new spaces. Minimalist loops of playful modular sequences, experimental sound collages and nature recordings can be heard. The Ambient Lab Festival is streamed live from Karlskaserne Art Center Ludwigsburg.

Raumwelten Cinema

Friday, November 13 to Sunday, November 29, 2020 in the online.raum-welten.com media library

Raumwelten Cinema deals with the fascinating relationship between film and architecture. This year’s Raumwelten cinema programme has the focus on issues of identity and staging and includes the development of David Adjaye’s spectacular National Museum of African American History and Culture, Mario Botta’s mystically charged spatial experiences, and Álvaro Siza’s fantastic minimalist constructions. In addition we offer live film talks with the directors via Zoom.

All films in the Raumwelten Cinema programme are available within Germany as Video on Demand at online.raum-welten.com and are included in the Raumwelten ONLINE-Ticket.

From Friday, November 20, 6 pm (CET) a weekend ticket with access to all films in the programme will be available for €20 (Access from Germany only). The film talks on Zoom are accessible free of charge.
